He summed up by himself the taste left in his mouth after he tasted Ekşili Pilav, the sour rice as follows: a healthy meal that brought together bulgur of Siyez, yogurt, and greenery, added with the intimacy of the people of Black Sea. What made Ekşili Pilav so special was that it was made with bulgur of Siyez and sour yogurt. After spooning up, Ekşili Pilav was the greenery that provided carnival tastes in your mouth, made him feel like eating a special rice with grape leaf, hibiscus, dead nettle, pepper mint, onions and spices. The fabulous smell formed by pouring of the butter roasted red pepper flakes on Ekşili Pilav after it was being prepared was certainly out of this world.
